printing your creationThe 3D printer we will use to produce the prototype is available Monday afternoons at Makerspace during Hoboken Library's Creation Space.
These figurines show the quality and the type of the filament used. Your "thing" will be printed in one color. Choices are glow-in-the-dark, translucent red, opaque red, blue, green, purple, orange, yellow, brown, black and white... and I am probably forgetting others... All the lighter colors are paintable. |
metal is awesome!Other plastic and rubbery materials are available through professional printing services, as is metal, ceramics and fake wood. These are additional costs from the prototype included in the $45 offer. There will also be additional time involved.

Who We Are |
Hoboken's 3D Creator is the brainchild of Nicola Hoelzl. The mission is to teach 3d modeling to the masses. Technology that started in 2010 enables common folks to experience 3d modeling from the "maker" perspective. If you can play with legos, you can create a 3d object! And, if you can read, you can follow an online tutorial...
Which of course means, you CAN do this! It's unbelievably easy! (Seriously, sign up here. ) |
Our History |
With several years of teaching experience, Nicola is currently instructing after-school 3d modeling workshops for 7-11 year-olds and will be holding seminars at the Hoboken Library in February 2016. Adults are encouraged to attend. ;)
